Welcome! My name is Hava and I have been a Doula in Northern Humboldt County since 2006. I was trained through Doulas by Nature and continue to work under their umbrella.

These are some of the beliefs that prompted me to become a doula:

Birth is a rite of passage
No one is more qualified to make decisions about a woman's birth than the woman herself
Pregnancy and childbirth are not medical conditions but natural and healthy processes for most women
Knowledge, confidence and support make birth a more positive experience
Motherhood requires community
